Hello,
I am a Norwegian who will visit Munich 6-10. of February (sunday-thursday).

I would be happy if someone could tell me where to go and dance salsa. I have seen that there are several places to dance salsa, but I would like to sort out the best ones.

My style is Cuban by the way.

@salseronorwege: If you have not been frightened off by all the nonsense that is being exchanged here which is not to be taken serious anyway I will try to give you a few hints: If you have already time Sunday night try Buena Vista. It is a small type of bar/restaurant where Claudio a local Cuban salsa teacher offers some introductory steps and acts as DJ thereafter. It can be packed and quite sweaty but it has got an atmosphere. Mondays are a bit quiet but you could try the Night Club at the hotel Bayerischer Hof. Not typically Cuban but usually a good mix of music by altering DJs. If you do not like it there cross over to Nachtcafe but be aware that you might expect some Latin Beat there as well. Sometimes a local band performs. Tuesdays usually most of the dancing schools offer their training sessions for their students. However they are open for public and everyone can join. For Cuban again you can try the dancing school Circulo which teaches Cuban style only. Circulo's students usually find it a kind of cosy there on Tuesday nights. Wednesday you could try Max Emanuel which is the longest standing salsateca in Munich. Not really Cuban again but a good mix of music and a predominant New York Style dancer crowd. If you are still around Thursday night try La Cumbia. It is one of the oldest Latin American "folklore" music places in town. In size it is about as small as Buena Vista with a Cuban DJ who plays mostly other styles as well. Usually there is a small crowd dancing Cuban salsa.

Well these are not the only opportunities here and it would be my pick. Enjoy your stay and let us know how you liked it. How is the scene in Norway by the way? 8)
